ABOUT THE CAPTAIN: I was born and raised in Port Isabel and grew up fishing with my grandfather on the Laguna Madre. I have shrimped, snapper fished, and worked as a deckhand on private party boats. With over 40 years of fishing experience, I have a passion for fishing as well as teaching people to fish....I live 2 fish.

Sammy Mock is a Certified Captain (U.S.C.G. ) and CPR-AED.

  • Typical trip 1/2 day 7:00am till 12:00 noon
  • Full day 7:00am till 3:00pm
  • Individual, family, and corporate groups welcome.
  • Kids are encouraged!
  • Tournament fishing also avalible.

Things That You Should Bring

  • Current fishing license with saltwater stamp
  • Good polarized sunglasses (I use copper and vermillion colors)
  • A hat or baseball cap,
  • Sunscreen
  • Bring your favorite food and beverages. (Alcohol is allowed)
  • Camera
  • Appropriate clothing for the given weather conditions

21' Sport Shallowsport (THE ONLY BOAT TO FISH FROM), equipped with front and center towers, trolling motor, powerpole, high sides for a safe and dry ride, and a Yamaha 4 stroke 150. Our dock is conveniently located on the Island on a boat lift behind Parrot Eyes Restaurant and Watersports
